Teeana's first musical performance

Teeana starting dance lessons at a very early age , Teeana realized that she enjoyed performing. At the age of seven she began singing at retirements homes to cheer up the elderly. At this time Teeana received and invitation to join a traveling singing group, which allowed her to develop her early musical, dancing, acting and vocal skills which helped immensely with her pursuits in the coming years. The group performed in a very historical town in Illinois where she sang for the first time.. She was born into a middle class Swedish family where family values were always the topic of conversation. She was the youngest in the family and was blessed to have a loving mother and father along with two brothers and a sister a niece and nephew. Her parents brought her up to be very independent. She enrolled in tap, ballet and jazz classes which she loved. It was at that time she knew she loved to perform. Upon moving to Los Angeles early in 2002 Teeana had a chance to meetwith Music Producer / Engineer Charles Lawrence whose credits include Paul Williams, Harry Nilson, and more. Laurence says ......"when I first heard her sing, I knew she had charisma, talent, and determination to succeed.

Teeana is currently living in Beverly Hills, California pursuing her singing career. Her first released album is a Christmas Album called "Teeana's Rockin Christmas and was released in November 2009 and is on I tunes. Teeana recorded a Christmas Album since she wanted her first album to bring her back to the songs she first sang. She remembered how many people loved to hear Christmas songs and thought is would be fun and cheerful. It was also her mothers and her sisters favorite holiday so she did it in remembrance of them.

Teeana's sophomore album will be released by the end of 2011 and the name of the album is called "Count on Me". She sings her original song in Espenol and is called "Cuenta Conmigo". The song is a combination of Adult Contemporary with a Latin feel. I wanted my first song on my "Count on Me album to reflex a different style that showed a little bit of my past present and future. That's why being an artist is such a wonderful opportunity to show my creativity and hopefully put a smile on people's faces.

Valuing Diversity

Teeana was very active at a young age in sports, gymnastics, and dance. She realized how important is was to be disciplined and how competitive she had to be to win. By the time she was a teenager her family had moved to South Texas where she learned how to value diversity. She learned all about the Latin culture and realized how magnificent it would be to study other cultures. She enjoys learning about different cultures and understands the importance of valuing diversity. She feels that she can learn something from everyone she meets regardless, age, gender, or nationality it would only enrich her life.
